First Cash For Over 1k
Finally!!!!!!! I took down the Bodog 5k a few nights ago for a cool 1.3k (which is a lot to me). I have been waiting to take a tourney like this for a long time. Came just in time too, as I just made a 900 withdraw from Bodog to cover some expenses. The minute I took it down a feeling of calm overcame me as I then realized I can afford some things that I've wanted for a long time now :) I would love to hear your comments about a big tourney you took down. Please let us hear it...

Bankroll
I don't know about you guys, but there are some online sites that I have a horrible time trying to build a bankroll. Two of those sites that I have difficulty are the most popular (for US players), those being PokerStars and Full Tilt. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to build a bankroll from a small deposit ($50). Whereas on sites like Bodog and Pacific it does not seem to be a problem. I was wondering if anyone had an suggestions for bankroll building on stars or tilt???

Things I LOVE About Bodog
During my years at Bodog I've realized that this is the one poker site that I keep coming back to. I've played at many sites and not one of them compares to bodog. Sure of the bad things I hate about bodog are really annoying, but when it comes down to it there is no place I'd rather play. Here is a list of the things i LOVE about Bodog. Here they are...
1. Easy Money: there are so many BAD players on bodog that simply don't understand the game. Players that push preflop with AK against tight players or when the situation doesn't call for that move. Players who can't fold, who make terrible bluffs, and who are all around terrible.
2. Support: Every experience that I've had with their support has been terrific. They seem to care about their players and have a general concern for the site they run.
3. Traffic: while the number of bodog players can't compare to sites such as pokerstars, it does have decent traffic in the evening hours. It is not difficult to find a loose cash game during evening central time hours US.

Things I HATE about Bodog
I've played at Bodog for 4 years now and I feel it is the best site on the net. The grind on bodog can be very profitable, unlike sites like Full Tilt and PokerStars. Being a college student I have very little money for initial investment and often build by playing micro limits. Simply put, there is no other place I'd rather play. However, there are many things I HATE about Bodog. So here they are:
1. Three table max: many of you know that bodog only allows 3 tables. This is terrible for those of us who love to multitable. If they are going to have minimums, they should allow 5 at least.
2. Tournaments structure: their tournament structure is terrible to say the best. You are not allowed to play and it can quickly become an allin fest.
3. Payout strucutre: I don't know if bodog has standard payout strucutre, but it seems they favor the top 3 of a 200 player tournament a little too much.

Obama
I don't know about you, but this is the most excited I've ever been about a Presidential election for a long time. While I don't think it is as important as the 2004 election, I do like where our country is heading. We have seemed to put race and gender behind us in our quest to discover our identity in the modern era. With an African-American man and a woman as two front runners in the election process, we have done away with past thinking and moved towards a brighter future. A future that seems so doomed, yet so promising. I believe that Obama contains the skills to steer us away from certain doom and towards a future of promise. A future where we look at people for what they really are, not what we would like them to be. A future where we cherish the freedoms that are given to us not just on the US Constitution, but are given because we are human. Please get out and vote!!
